Learn from designers with industry expertise.

I love the depth of a design process; getting to know the audience, immerse yourself into topics that might sound totally unknown at first, asking the right questions to get clarity before even start sketching and thinking of solutions.

What do you love about design?

I love the depth of a design process; getting to know the audience, immerse yourself into topics that might sound totally unknown at first, asking the right questions to get clarity before even start sketching and thinking of solutions. Brainstorms, collaborations and talks are other aspects that make me feel inspired, challenged and in continue evolution.

Why do you teach?

I teach because I want to be part of a collaborative design community. Sharing experiences and knowledge is a gain for everyone in the industry, regardless the years of experience or role someone is into. I see teaching as an exchange: I want to encourage young designers through what I’ve learned and experienced and, at the same time, I am excited about learning from them, from other teachers and the college itself.

Tell us about your design career outside of Shillington.

I started in a different design sphere, graduating from industrial design, and had my first job in a large advertising agency in Milan. Both experiences helped me realising what I didn’t want to do in my life. I looked at smaller realites and start working at a Berlin-based design studio. Four years later, I moved to Melbourne where I first freelanced to various studios and volunteered at AGDA. I then became part of the team of HM Group and grew up into a Senior Designer. Since I moved back to Europe this year, I’ve been freelancing for private clients while keep collaborating with other studios.

What or who are you loving right now?

For The People and Accompany Group do amazing branding projects. Nat Turnbull and Paris se quema photography is really mesmerising.

If you were a typeface, what would you be?
