Studying design massively changed my life for the better. Knowing what a huge difference it made to me personally, it’s incredibly rewarding to now have the opportunity to inspire and motivate others to achieve their own personal goals and ambitions.

What do you love about design?
I love that design can be wherever you look and provides the opportunity to keep on learning new things all the time.
Why do you enjoy working in design education?

What keeps you busy outside of Shillington?
Being a new dad is keeping me pretty busy at the minute! But aside from that I like to keep active any way I can, whether it’s going on a run, mountain-biking, going to the gym or walking my dog Rudy. Getting outside really puts me in the right headspace and helps me get inspired!
What or who are you loving right now?
I really love New Zealand studios Resn and Seachange. Resn for their incredible interactive experiences and Seachange for their always outstanding brand identities. I also really love American studio LAND, they were a massive source of inspiration for me when I was studying and still are to this day. Having the opportunity to collaborate with them on a recent project I worked on was a real pinch me moment.
If you were a typeface, what would you be?
That’s a tough one, maybe too hard to choose! So let’s just say Inter.
