What do you love about design?
I love that different types of design can have such a profound effect on the individual in such varied ways. I love that clever design feels like you’ve cracked some sort of secret code! It’s so satisfying.
Why do you enjoy working in design education?
I love seeing the passion Shillo teachers have for what they do. The way they are so invested in getting the absolute best out of their students and the way they inspire students every single day is contagious!
What keeps you busy outside of Shillington?
Chilling with my dog, Cashie, going for long bush walks, getting salty at the beach, surfing, snowboarding, listening to tunes, cooking up a storm and maybe a cheeky marg here and there.
What or who are you loving right now?
Cooking! I’ve been working my way through Ottolenghi’s new cookbook, Simple. I absolutely love his recipes, they always go down well with family and friends. I’ve also taken to growing a bit of a forest on my balcony. I love seeing those little dudes blossom!
I’m listening to a bunch of Anderson .Paak, Khruangbin, Tame Impala, Jorja Smith, Bobby Womack, Arlo Parks and Tkay Maidza.
What’s your favourite blog?
Cereal, InBed Journal and the Shillington Design Blog!
