Tell us about your design career outside of Shillington.
I started my career as a graphic design fellow at the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, where my office was one of Wright’s building in the middle of the Arizona desert. After that I got another in-house job in Seattle, and most recently I worked for a studio in Dublin, Ireland that specializes in branding for the hospitality industry. I’m most interested in branding and illustration, and I love to draw and paint when I’m feeling creative but don’t want to look at a screen.
What or who are you loving right now?
The library! It’s such an underrated resource. I get excited every time they email me that a book is ready for pickup.
If you were a typeface, what would you be?
P22 Underground—a warm and friendly classic.
What’s your favourite blog?
Typewolf is great for keeping up with type trends and referencing font lists. My non-design-related answer is Tim Urban’s blog, Wait But Why. He writes about big, interesting ideas (and random, funny ones) in a super accessible way.
