Tell us about your design career outside of Shillington.
I have worked in photo and video production for the last ten years. I started out as a stylist (both clothing and prop) in the fashion and publishing world. I went back to school for graphic design and I have been working as an art director in fashion and food/hospitality for the last five years.
What or who are you loving right now?
I just watched a wonderful documentary by Edward Tufte about the designer, Inge Druckrey called, Teaching to See. Her design approach and teaching style are inspiring—it’s worth watching.
If you were a typeface, what would you be?
I like a serif, give me Times New Roman.
What’s your favourite blog?
When I need a bit of inspiration I go on The Paris Review or Apartmento Magazine. I like to peruse their sites and I subscribe to their print publications as well.
