What do you love about design?
The constant learning and the possibilities. I love how design can really connect with people, tell stories, solve problems and spark emotion—as well as being beautifully crafted.
Why do you teach?
I love being able to help people develop creatively. It’s exciting to be able to help students realise ideas and execute them—whilst really challenging themselves (and me) in the process.
Tell us about your design career outside of Shillington.
I’ve always worked in creative studios and spent a big part of my career as a creative manager, developing and art directing designers. I studied at Shillington in 2015 and since then have worked as a designer at Holden’s agency, working for a complete mix of clients on loads of different projects from branding startups to designing a mini-golf course.
What or who are you loving right now?
I’m loving the B Magazine series—learning about some amazing brands and their journeys. They are lovely pieces of print too.
If you were a typeface, what would you be?
Aperçu—modern and simple 😉
