Graphic Design Teacher
Alan Barba is a graphic designer and lettering artist from Guadalajara, Mexico. He graduated from ITESO, Universidad Jesuita de Guadalajara, and now specialises in conceptual design, brand development, typography, lettering and apparel design. With over eight years of experience he’s had the opportunity to work for startups, agencies, brands, universities and government institutions. He co-owns a multidisciplinary design studio based in New York City.

I love the endless possibilities to create beautiful and meaningful pieces that have a purpose and solve problems.

Tell us about your design career outside of Shillington.
Before Shillington I worked for a couple of agencies in Mexico and New York as well as in my own studio. I specialized in Brand Development, Apparel Design and illustration.
What or who are you loving right now?
Currently in love with typography and lettering.
