What do you love about design?
I love how expansive the world of design is. It touches our lives every single day and has the power to completely change our experiences, attitudes, moods, and perspectives.
Why do you teach?
Giving students the tools and the confidence to amplify their creativity, voice, and spirit is an unforgettable and rewarding experience.
Tell us about your design career outside of Shillington.
As a Shillington graduate myself, I’ve had a multitude of experiences within the world of design. I’m currently sitting at an advertising agency in NYC working as a designer, emphasizing in branding, UI, campaigns, and motion graphic work for organizations like the ACLU, MMRF, Consumer Reports, Tera and Strong Roots. Previously, I worked as an in-house designer for international fitness brand, Crunch, focusing on large-scale graphics, interiors, out-of-home, and campaigns. In addition to my past two in-house rolls, I’ve also had the opportunity to freelance for several other brands across a multitude of industries over the years.
What or who are you loving right now?
I’m loving Ken Fulk right now. Their projects are a perfect union of design disciplines (branding, architecture, interiors), and show just how much these vastly different industries cofunction and influence one another to tell an all-encompassing story within a space. Experience is everything!
If you were a typeface, what would you be?
