Hear straight from our graduates.
I have always loved art and design and wanted to back myself to see if I could turn it into a full-time career. With no formal background in design a friend recommend Shillington as the best place to kickstart my career in design.
Designer, For The People

What were you up to before Shillington?
Before studying at Shillington I was a full time surfboard shaper and manufacturer, while I was living in my van full time on the east coast of Australia. In a previous life, I had a career in IT, working as a Systems officer for seven years in system architecture and network topology.
Why did you decide to study design? Why Shillington?
The question we often ask ourselves “if you could be doing anything with your days what would it be?” I have always loved art and design and wanted to back myself to see if I could turn it into a full-time career. With no formal background in design a friend recommend Shillington as the best place to kickstart my career in design.
Why do you love working as a designer?
Everyday is different and I get to make things that didn’t exist at the start of the day. We are not just creating pretty things but we get to help people change their businesses for the better. Not to mention also having the opportunity to work with amazing people who push you, learning new things everyday and generally just having a good time.
