Learn from designers with industry expertise.
Good design is something that can look beautiful, but GREAT design is something we can use every day with efficiency and hardly even notice.

What do you love about design?
I’ve always loved the opportunity to design something that is universally experienced by everyone interacting with it. Good design is something that can look beautiful, but GREAT design is something we can use every day with efficiency and hardly even notice.
Why do you enjoy working in design education?
Speaking from personal experience, there is such a lack in compassionate communication when it comes to creative learning. As creatives, we’re sensitive! I believe that knowing how to not only provide relevant guidance in a heart-centered way, but to receive feedback productively will help shape the industry more positively for future designers.
What keeps you busy outside of Shillington?
You can find me wrangling my dogs, learning more about Business and Tech Ethics and designing brand identities for friends with small businesses.
What or who are you loving right now?
I just moved to Tucson, AZ after 12 years in Los Angeles and am eagerly exploring all the new flora and fauna (and Mexican restaurants) surrounding me.
If you were a typeface, what would you be?
Probably something kinda industrial like Source Code.
What’s your favourite blog?
I’m not big into blogs, but definitely a nerd for well-researched non-fiction and podcasts. Currently obsessed with the Maintenance Phase podcast where the hosts are debunking all kinds of health and wellness trends through extensive medical findings.
