FREE #Shillumni Talk and Networking Event with Adrian Shaughnessy on Friday, 12 May at Shillington London.
For our first #Shillumni Talk in London, we’re excited to welcome Adrian Shaughnessy. Shaughnessy is a self-taught graphic designer. In 1989 he co-founded the design group Intro. Under his creative leadership the studio won numerous awards. In 2004, he left Intro to pursue an interest in writing and lecturing, and to work as an independent design consultant. His book How to be a Graphic Designer Without Losing Your Soul has sold 80,000 copies to date.
In The Graphic Designer as Writer, Editor and Publisher, Shaughnessy will discuss how graphic designers are often capable of more than just graphic design. The graphic design sensibility and skill set are surprisingly well suited to a wide range of activities. Primary amongst these is the practice of writing, editing and publishing. Shaughnessy will describe how he has expanded his practice to include these disciplines.
We invite #Shillumni to stick around for drinks, discussion and networking. Whether you graduated in 2000 or 2016, we can’t wait to reconnect and find out where your creative career has taken you.
Only 50 spaces—so act fast! RSVP required. Password: Shillumni2017
Please note this event is exclusively for Shillington graduates. All registrations will be cross-referenced with our database.
