#ShilloSYD graduate Yin Yin Wu designed a modular identity for a brainy bi-annual event.
Yin Yin needed to create an event identity for Spark—an organisation with the sole purpose of igniting conversations, debates and fresh ideas. With its bi-annual conference on the brain coming up, it needed an event identity that was as big as the topic itself. This led to the conception of Brain Wonders, an identity which acknowledges the brain being the mysterious building block behind existence.
She designed her own custom typeface ‘Mental Block’— inspired by Tetris and the overarching concept of the brain being the building block of life. For its construction, a strong grid system was in place with each letter being built up by even squares.
It’s incredible what our students create during their time at Shillington. With passion, dedication and tailored guidance from our talented teachers, they graduate with polished portfolios, fully prepared to land a design job.
