Meet our teachers

Shillington Manchester Teacher

Coaching has always been my leadership style and getting the opportunity to nurture creativity is what I believe makes the design community a great thing to be part of.

Dave Bird

Dave's Portfolio

Dave has worked for a handful of great studios over the last 15+ years. He spent a number of years in Newcastle-upon-Tyne at an agency called Founded. Dave now operates as an independent designer specialising in branding projects as well as splitting his time to pursue his passion for illustration and screen printing at his print studio Bueno Kudos, alongside teaching part-time at Shillington Manchester.

MCAU

Modern City Architecture and Urbanism are a new practice operating in and around Manchester. Dave worked with them to create a memorable logomark that would accompany a simple and stylish brand identity. The concept explores the idea of creating a 3D space within a 2D object, relating to the vision MCAU has to create intelligent spaces within cities.

Shillington Melbourne Teacher

It’s so rewarding to share my knowledge but I am equally inspired by observing the different ways the students approach their work and the things that are making them excited. It’s a great feeling to encourage their creativity by giving them the technical tools to bring their ideas to life.

Bonnie Eichelberger

Shillington Online Teacher

I’ve been so fortunate to have had some amazingly inspiring and influential teachers throughout my life; people who helped open up the world, who believed in me and helped foster my imagination. I love having the opportunity to try to return the favour and pass along the things I’ve learned.

Jamie Lawson
