#ShilloSYD graduate Amy Ezaki designed the branding for the Yayoi Kusama Museum in Tokyo, which was founded by the famous artist herself to promote her art.
In designing the identity of the Yayoi Kusama Museum, Amy aimed to focus on celebrating the dynamic work of the artist without overpowering the design. On the typographic side of the design, the designer found inspiration in the architecture of the building. Overall, the aim was to marry vintage Japanese design with the super modern aesthetic of Japan, while also drawing upon Kusama’s iconic polka dot style
