The Poster House and Nicholas Lowry of Swann Auction Galleries will be taking participants on a “virtual walk” through the historical and promotional images of New York City.
During this time of the pandemic, The Poster House invites participants to pause and reflect on the attributes of New York and what makes it great. “Over the past 100 years, all the things we consider uniquely New York have been graphically presented in posters, tempting an incredulous and eagerly-awaiting world to come and see the city that never sleeps.” New York is a city landscape unlike any other, a place that is home to skyscrapers, modern cathedrals, Broadway and the buzzing lights of Times Square. Now you can join the museum and Nicholas Lawry on a virtual tour and view some historical and promotional posters of New York.
The event takes place on 25 August at 6:30pm.
