(UK) Basquiat—Boom for Real

Barbican have recently opened up an exhibition showcasing New York’s very own Jean-Michel Basquiat. Basquiat was at the heart of New York’s cultural scene in the late 70’s – where music mixed with street art.

Basquiat used his platform to provide social commentary, bringing attention to race and political issues through his abstract and colourful paintings.
