(NY) Thinking Machines: Art and Design in the Computer Age at MOMA

Thinking Machines: Art and Design in the Computer Age explores the world of computer-generated art from 1959 to 1989 and the ways technology was used to create computer animation, kinetic sculptures, video installation, and more.

MOMA also offers a 4-week course accompanying this exhibition that will “examine how the computer—as machine, medium, and method—has been used since the 1950s as an arbiter of meaning, social inclusion, and artistic production.”
