Senior Graphic Designer

The senior designer will be at the heart of creative / design activity across all partner sites, from working alongside the trading exec’s, e-com managers, retail and studio teams, in the design, constant improvement and creation of our core site assets across desktop and mobile platforms.

Role Details

• Full people management line responsibility for a team of Designers including tasks such as 1:1 reviews, absence management and performance management.
• Inspire, challenge and develop your team capability, skill set and confidence
• The design and art direction across BAU assets, across all platforms and partner sites, inc. offline / retail in some instances
• Take initial ideas from brainstorm/concept stage through to the finished output across any platform
• Encourage new ways of working, mentoring, team management, art direction, closer attention to detail, typography, image making, and stronger creativity across digital and non-digital where applicable.
• Quality control and identify day to day improvements you can pass onto your direct reports, the mid-weights, designers and juniors
• Working closely with the Trading Exec’s, E-Com, Retail and the studio team
• Identify and implement practical initiatives to improve process, version control, file management and outputs.
• Weekly session with The Creative Lead to update on challenges and successes
• Ability to problem solve, pick up and complete emergency jobs when needed
• Constant quality control and critiques of your sites, what can we do better, improve, refine and challenge
• Assess the market and competition, what’s next …
• Creation of e-com assets emailers, banners, social
• Collaborating on campaign design projects across all areas when needed
• Planning – working alongside a senior to assess workload and seasonal pinch points
• Accept and work positively with constructive criticism from relevant departments or partners
• Take the initiative when needed on workload and creative

Skill/Attributes Required

•Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud,
•Excellent design, typography skills
•Creative asset management processes and tools, incl. version control
•Planning and leadership
•Strong ability to lead a team, implement transformational change and really make a difference
•E-commerce background
•Work well with a wide range of people across departments
•Organised and methodical
•Well presented with a professional manner to act as a brand ambassador
•Influential and diplomatic
•Comfortable presenting to partners and heads of departments
•Effective and efficient time management and organisational skills
•Fanatical about design, digital and ideally sport and sporting events
•Creation of pixel perfect sites
•Set goals and create an ambitious culture within the group
•HTML Coding Skills
