Role Details

Junior Visual Designer

Who we are.
We’re a small apparel brand in Brisbane using design to challenge our industry and unite our community. We’re growing and we’d love to have you.
Design is the language we express direction, purpose, and adventure through. Design is our lifestyle as much as our garments.

Who you are.
You’re bringing a unique aesthetic to the team and you understand that at it’s core, design — in any medium — is communication. You love aligning to a product strategy, contributing to them, and explaining the decisions you’ve made along the way.
You’re a team player who enjoys riffing with mates through your iterations. You’re comfortable with feedback but also align and motivate yourself. You’re responsible in managing your time and project priorities wherever you are.

You feel ownership in the team’s work and connection with our customers. You’re game to lend a hand packing orders or setting up for a pop-up. You always offer coffee to the team if you’ve stopped off on the way in. You empty the garbage — occasionally.

You love to share favourite albums, good bars, and whatever inspires you.

What you do.
As a Junior Visual Designer on the team you will need to be comfortable in apparel, print and digital design workflows. Your work will be both within the collaborative team environment and also on your own. Completing a project from end-to-end would really excite us.

Your responsibilities include:

– Interpretation of creative briefs into actionable project goals
– Illustration of artwork and graphics (repeatable and placement artwork)
– Utilisation of designs across a variety of mediums (digital, apparel, print)
– Colour palette development
– Copywriting (ability to tell the story about your work)

You’re comfortable working with:

– Written briefs
– Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
– Slack and Google Apps
– Facebook and Instagram
– Shopify and WordPress

We are looking forward to receiving your application!
