What do you love about design?
Puzzle Solving. Design navigates most of our lives, from the clothes we wear, the places we eat and even the places we choose to live. Design is a way of life which I revel in, discovering new ideas and possibilities to help people is what makes this job the best job in the world. Unless you’re looking after cats on a Greek island…that’s pretty good too.
Why do you teach?
I’m passionate about design and people. I’ve always wanted to make a positive impact on design in my career, I feel teaching is where I would be most effective. I really enjoy watching people develop their skills and ideas, realising that they are capable of creating anything and everything!

I have been working in the industry for 5 years. Having graduated from university in 2013, I spent 2 years interning and freelancing for a variety of studios in Manchester, Birmingham, London and Brighton.
I have been working at Studio Makgill in Brighton for 3 years and continue to work at the studio part-time. Having worked predominantly in branding and identity, I also enjoy working in packaging and exhibition design.
