Hear straight from our graduates.
It might sound banal, but really—all you need to get through this course is to be very passionate about graphic design.

What were you up to before Shillington?
Before Shillington I had just finished my Masters in Interior Architecture at Politecnico of Milan.
Why did you take the plunge and decide to enrol?
I decided to enrol because I’ve always preferred Graphic Design to Architecture, and I wanted to finish my academic path. Shillington looked perfect to me, it only lasted a short amount of time but by looking at previous student work, I was confident that it was possible to achieve an outcome of a very high standard.
What would you say to someone who is sceptical about the Shillington course?
I’d say that Graphic Design is a very practical discipline, and three months is enough to achieve a good knowledge of the basics and to develop good taste—the rest I guess will come with experience, passion and constant research.
If you could give one piece of advice to someone starting at Shillington, what would it be?
It might sound banal, but all you need to get through this course is to be very passionate about graphic design. Research continuously via books, magazines and Pinterest. Also try to get feedback from your classmates throughout the course, getting different points of view helps you learn and grow.
